World will wait while you Smell the Flowers
When my father died it turned out better financially for my mom. He would have picked the larger monthly teacher’s pension without a survivorship benefit for his wife because he thought he was going to live forever. Instead, my mother got to choose a lump sum survivorship benefit which she grew into quite a retirement fund.
When my mother died, we took a few things then ultimately hired a company to clean out her house and sell/dump all her stuff.
The point: There’s no need to carry around the heaviness that most of us do. Yeah, make the best decisions you can. Do what you can to keep the electricity running. But it will all go on without you. No need to carry the world on your shoulders. It will wait while you pause and smell the flowers.
