One Couple Stole a Baby and Might Kill Over It
My family is absorbed with the show but I'm hiding in the kitchen.
I’m not a coward. Like, today I rented a fifteen foot truck when I’ve never driven anything bigger than a van. Then, I picked a stranger off the street near the train station in Brewster to help move my daughter to Brooklyn. It worked out.
So, why can’t I watch the TV series, Inconceivable, with my wife and daughter? The characters are so scheming and evil — I literally have to turn away. But it’s no sweat for anyone else in the household.
What does this mean? Is it deep? Like maybe I can’t stand that they’re showing me parts of myself?
Why can’t I just take a detached, spiritual viewpoint? The show simply demonstrates that people will do anything to get what they want. The ego runs amok. Is that provoking my squeamishness? Has my ego run amok and I can’t stand it reflected back to me?
It really bothers me to see people do bad things to each other. One couple stole another couple’s baby; and another woman is having a baby but she can’t tell her adoring partner it’s not his baby. Another really nice and pretty lady knows these secrets but for some Inconceivable reason, holds back the truth. These people are serious enough to kill over these things. My family can tolerate it. But I’m hiding in the kitchen writing to you.
Why did I start watching in the first place. I like a little togetherness with the family and the TV couch is a good place for that. Once upon a time, I watched everything from The Exorcist to Goodfellas, but somehow I’ve lost my capacity to endure treachery. How about you?

During successions incredible run, many asked me how I loved a show with no characters of redeeming value. Me? Any story, well told, will do!
Good question! It depends on my mood
I can watch people being treacherous to other people but God forbid someone hurts an animal... then I have to turn off the TV 🤷🏼♀️I guess I just like animals more than most humans
